1. Information We Collect
We collect: phone number (required for authentication), name, email address (optional), emergency contacts you add, signal history (Fine/Not Fine status), device push notification token, and location data only during active check-in events (deleted when the check-in closes).
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to: deliver safety signals to your circles, send push notifications and SMS alerts, facilitate check-in events, display your status to circle members, and notify emergency contacts when you signal "Not Fine".
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), an SMS provider (OTP verification and emergency alerts), and Sentry (crash reporting and error tracking). These services process only the minimum data required for their function.
4. Data Sharing
Your signal status is visible to members of your circles. Circle managers may see additional information based on your privacy settings (phone number, email, medical notes, emergency contacts). Emergency contacts receive SMS notifications when you signal "Not Fine". We do not sell your data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
Signal history is retained while your account is active. Location data is deleted as soon as a check-in event closes. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our systems.
6. Your Rights
You can: view and edit your profile information at any time, control what information is visible via Privacy & Security settings, leave any circle, and delete your account and all associated data at any time.
7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest using AES-256. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
8. Children & Parental Guidance
I'm Fine! is a family safety app suitable for users of all ages. Children under 13 should use the App under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for providing consent for their child's use and for managing their child's account and data.
We collect the same information from all users regardless of age (see Section 1). We do not knowingly collect more data from children than is necessary to provide the service. Parents or guardians may review, update, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us at support@imfine.report or by deleting the account through the app.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
